Llandewi Corner was left flooded this morning following heavy rain from Storm Christoph.

South Wales Police advised people against driving through the flooded area.

"Please be advised that the A4118 Llandewi to Portyeynon, Rhosilli, Gower is currently impassable due to flooding," South Wales Police said in a Tweet.

"Please do not attempt to drive through if you get stuck you will be putting unnecessary pressure on the emergency services."

As a result of the flooding, the New Adventure Travel Group said that its 118 and 119 bus services were unable to serve any further than Reynoldston Green until further notice.

In a Facebook post, Francesca O'Brien, the Welsh Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Gower, said that the road had become passable at lunchtime. However, she advised residents that more rain was expected and that the situation could therefore change.

A rain warning issued by the Met Office is in place until midday on Thursday.

A yellow weather warning for ice has also been issued across Wales on Thursday, with the Met Office saying that there is a chance of ice forming after the rain clears, leading to difficult travel conditions.
