Chancellor Rishi Sunak has today revealed his budget in the House of Commons, much of which applies UK-wide and therefore to Mumbles.

While Mumbles usually marks the celebration with its annual Dragon Parade, with refreshments on offer at the Ostreme Centre, lockdown has put a stop to the event this year.

First Minister Mark Drakeford has announced that an extra £682 million will be included in the Budget to support the response to the pandemic in the coming months.
Speaking at a press conference today Mr Drakeford said that "the worst of the second wave is hopefully behind us" as the seven-day rate has fallen to 64 cases per 100,000 people and in every part of Wales, the rate is below 100 cases per 100,000 people.

The warmer weather at the weekend brought people to the beaches, cliffs and promenades around Mumbles.
However, South Wales Police received numerous reports of crowds gathering at beauty spots, with Swansea Council having to close car parks at Langland, Caswell, and Bracelet Bay on Sunday.

A search for a missing woman has continued after Coastguard rescue teams, including Mumbles Coastguard, were called to assist a search of coastal areas.
Dyfed-Powys Police has released an appeal in the search for Susan Smith, who was last seen at 1:30pm on Saturday 27 February walking in the Carmarthen Bay Holiday Village, Kidwelly area.
