Two people from Bristol have been fined for travelling to Three Cliffs Bay for a "holiday."
South Wales Police caught the pair in the Gower area on Sunday, January 3.
"Yesterday Two persons from the Bristol area were issued Fixed Penalty Notices for travelling to Three Cliffs Bay in the Gower for a holiday," South Wales Police said in a statement on their Twitter page.
"Please remember Wales is currently a Tier 4 area, Please only travel when necessary.
"Our officers are continuing to conduct random vehicle checks to ensure road users are only making essential journeys.
"Under Welsh Government Level 4 restrictions, the advice is simple, stay home, If you blatantly breach them, you should expect to be fined."
South Wales Police is urging people to remember that Wales is in Alert Level 4, meaning people should stay at home unless for essential travel.
The force has been carrying out patrols and spot checks over the Christmas period, including in areas like Blackpill, on Mumbles Road, and Bracelet Bay.
In a statement on their Twitter page, SWP said: "This weekend the Joint Enforcement Team attended the Mumbles and Bracelet Bay areas and issued 14 FPNs/Warnings to those travelling without necessity. Please only travel if necessary."
They also reported that PCSOs were patrolling the beachfront areas of the Gower on Sunday 3 January.
In a Tweet, Chief Superintendent Trudi Meyrick said: "NHS at risk of being overwhelmed. 58,784 new cases and 497 further UK deaths today. This is why Wales remains in Tier 4, everyone has a part to play."
The Level 4 restrictions in Wales, which have told people to avoid all but essential travel, have been in force since Sunday, December 20. A review is due to be held this week.
