Plastic Free Mumbles campaign will see installation of 34 new recycling bins

A new campaign delivered by Plastic Free Mumbles will see the installation of 34 recycling new bins.

Mumbles Community Council has partnered with Hubbub on their #InTheLoop campaign to improve on-the-go recycling in Mumbles.

First Minister announces extra £682 million in budget for COVID response

First Minister Mark Drakeford at today's press conference

First Minister Mark Drakeford has announced that an extra £682 million will be included in the Budget to support the response to the pandemic in the coming months.

Speaking at a press conference today Mr Drakeford said that "the worst of the second wave is hopefully behind us" as the seven-day rate has fallen to 64 cases per 100,000 people and in every part of Wales, the rate is below 100 cases per 100,000 people.

Car parks patrolled at weekend as crowds gather in Mumbles during sunny weather

The warmer weather at the weekend brought people to the beaches, cliffs and promenades around Mumbles.

However, South Wales Police received numerous reports of crowds gathering at beauty spots, with Swansea Council having to close car parks at Langland, Caswell, and Bracelet Bay on Sunday.

Mumbles Coastguard called to assist in search for missing woman

A search for a missing woman has continued after Coastguard rescue teams, including Mumbles Coastguard, were called to assist a search of coastal areas.

Dyfed-Powys Police has released an appeal in the search for Susan Smith, who was last seen at 1:30pm on Saturday 27 February walking in the Carmarthen Bay Holiday Village, Kidwelly area.
