The £13.8m upgrade of Bishopston Comprehensive School remains on track, despite the pandemic, according to the leader of Swansea City Council.

"A new two-storey extension that includes science labs and a state-of-the-art drama studio will be ready to use when learners return to school," Rob Stewart, leader of Swansea City Council, said.

The GP Covid-19 vaccination programme for over 80s has started, with all 49 practices in Swansea Bay signing up to deliver the first vaccination to patients in this age group.

Across the Swansea and Neath Port Talbot region, the total number of people aged 80+ is approximately 24,000.

Swansea Building Society has signed a new long-term lease on its Mumbles premises, committing to an investment in refurbishing the branch.

The investment included refurbishment of all three floors and plans for an electronic screen installed at the front window to give customers more information about the Society's products and services.

South Wales Police will be 'stepping up' their patrols of beachside car parks as people continue to be fined for making unnecessary trips to beauty spots.

In a statement on Twitter, South Wales Police said: "Officers are continuing to patrol beachside car parks around the city centre and challenging those who are travelling for non-essential reasons.
